Does Anyone remember Alphastar?

Anyone remember Alphastar?, the satellite service (FSS) that resided on the Ku side of Telstar 402R (before later moving to Telstar 5 upon launch). Although the channel selection was very limited at first (SATCO DX Chart: Alphastar on Telstar 402R at 89°W), doesn't anyone have fond memories of it?

I was going to be a salesperson for them until they wanted me to buy the dish and receiver for around $700 I think back in the mid 90's. Did not want spend that kind of money. I may still have some paperwork? Dodged one there.
