Does DIRT still come around these parts?

Facebook Dirt. Same people as were on these here forums. I believe they've relocated from Colorado to the southeastern US. Needless to say, still got me $20 off monthly for two years.

They have changed the way DIRT works. They still come here, but only popup for a moment to check their inbox (and each of the 20+ DIRT members have their own inbox) and if they have no messages they go to their next site.

In the past DIRT members spent all day here reading posts and if they found issues they would report them up the chain so they would get fix. DISH would learn about issues here first before they ever came through their phone lines.

Now DIRT is just regular CSRs who browse social meda. Before DIRT was members of the Office of the President.

Yup Facebook messaged Dish made sure to specifically ask for an Account Specialist or a member of DIRT to reply and got the level of no nonsense expertise I’ve come to expect from DIRT. Much better use of my time than that Chat CSR this morning.

I would say no. I have had an unanswered request in with Caleb for a month. Finally gave up and called on the phone.

How in the blazes can you even find a real Dish DIRT member when there are so many retailers that come up in a search for Dish?

Somewhat related...I recently took advantage of the preferred customer deal. I tried to also get my two Joey 2.0s upgraded to 3.0s and was told the only way was to have a tech come out. I told the rep. never mind and figured I would contact DIRT. I finally caught a DIRT member on the other day and she basically said the same thing and also said something about sending me to a retailer so I again said never mind.

In the past I know I have swapped out receivers without a tech. I think they held my CC# until they got the old receiver back and even gave me a pre-paid shipping label. I think this may have been when a receiver was defective but I think it was for upgrades as well. Does anyone know if that process has changed or am I just not speaking to the right people?

TIA

Almost 100% of the time, it would require a tech. I say almost, because I know when I went from H1 to H2, they just mailed it to me. The Joey3.0 should be the same way, but I wonder if it requires RG6, compared to previous models only requiring RG59, so they want to verify.

My Joey 3 works just fine on on RG59...
