Kinda voids the FREE part doesn't it?

Well free to Dish Network is a bit like the word soon to Dish Network.

However, I think by now the "free" part of the offer applies to me as it has been a while since paying the $99 free fee.

I'm guessing that within the next several years, HD will be the norm.

Kinda like "brought to you in living color" was a big deal when color TV was first starting out.

The next promo might end up being, "Free 3D For Life".

Only 1 catch for new customers that opt to pay the 1 time $99 fee for the free hd for life & no auto pay.
The online bonus discounts require auto pay regardless, so a person is losing $15 per month for 12 months by not doing auto pay. For all potential newbies to dish, this is something to consider when thinking about signing up.

I know it's still not a bad deal. 10 months and it's paid off but not having to pay anything is better, unless you REALLY hate autopay and paperless billing.
