can i use a dish 500 dpp twin to point at just 1 satellite ex.. 129 w ,or do i have to use a single lnb ??

Try it with one lnb covered with foil to get the signal on the 129 sat and run a checkswitch to confirm it and it should work. If it does once your check switch runs are complete, remove the foil. IT should work. I am doing this very thing with a triple lnb and only using the 110/110 part of the lnb with a side sat dish for 61.5 .

It will work fine, but your azimuth will be 4 degrees or so off to one side or the other of the recommended aim.
