I enjoyed it, some clever bits, good special effects, but I wonder if the writers will incorporate more "magic" into future stories. The Goblin Ship looked like something out of Terry Gilliam and Roger Dean, and any sufficiently advanced technology would be considered magic to some, so I'm okay with it.

Some of the stories written about the upcoming season have said, none of the existing foes of the past, no Daleks, Cybermen, Angels, etc.

So more new magic type foes would be good replacements then.

Shame about the Weeping Angels, though. They were one of the better protagonists.

The train wreck started with hiring Gutwa. He just was not right for the role, Disney or not.
