Had a DSR500 & everything worked fine, great signal, great picture...
Just hooked up a DSR505, had it activated, but get a black screen.
I have a green light on the front panel & I have it tuned to ch 299 (with the following status)...
Under options / Tune Sat Signal (6-4-3-1):
EMM Provider ID: 4128, green box (this box was 0 and red, so I typed in 4128 & I get a green box. It has stayed green since I typed it in)
Satellite Name: A4
Signal Level: 73
If I check options / System Status (6-4-7):
B. Auth. Status: MC
C. Signal: 73, (Ecb: 8.9)
G. Trip Count: 0
H. Current Version: 00.E0
U. EMM Providers: 1020, d5
V. EMM Provider: 1020
W. EMM Stream: Yes
If I hit Guide, the channels numbers/letters show correctly, the programs are listed, but if I tune in a channel (say 299 or 300 or 292), I get a black screen with an attention message, "Service temporarily not available." I've read other threads on this site of people with similar problems. But before I jump on the roof & start changing my dish settings, is it safe to assume I need to re-align it so I get the (U or V) EMM Provider at 4128 instead of 1020? Or am I being impatient...?
