I have recently come across a surplus DTN dish, believe its a 24" dish. Currently the LNB is the single polarity type common with the dish. Think I have one of them universal type lnb's for the FTA dishes as a spare. I really doubt it would work so the main question is:

Can I find a replacement LNB for this for dual polarity? Satellite of interest is G17

Betcha it's 30 inches, just like my former DTN dish. There should be ID numbers molded into the backside.

Thanks! That thread came in real handy. I did find the other LNB, its an GKF-668. Not sure if it will work or not but once the dish is mounted ill try it. Either it will work or I will be getting a more compatable LNB. I missed the boat on a cheap DirecPC lnb here not too long ago

I went through this a couple years ago. This thread might help

Yes, I just re-read that thread. It was a darned fine one! ;)
Covers just about everything ya'd need to know about those LNBs.

Impakt Products has surplus/refurbished/used/new/similar/original LNBs on this page.
About half way down, click on the simple looking, silver beer cans.
The more expensive unit with a single connector, is the traditional voltage-switched unit.

The cheaper LNB with two connectors, puts out V on one, and H on the other, ONLY.
You can combine the two outputs with a 2x4 (or 3x4, 4x4, 5x4, 4x8, or 5x8) multiswitch, which you'd most likely need in any multi-LNB setup anyway.

The company may also offer feedhorns (you might have to call them), LNB covers, replacement LNB support struts, dish mounts, and other related items.
