DVR1100c and DSR100c data sheets?

They are both the same hardware. What is "special" about the Glorystar provided receiver is that it comes with special Glorystar firmware which has all the Glorystar channel pre-programmed in for you. But you can always scan in any FTA channels you wish if you want more beyond the religious stations.

DVR1100c Product Release Update:

Due to a manufacturing delay, the DVR1100c will be available for purchase and delivery on or about June 15th. This was due to a supply issue with a minor component, but it postponed the complete assembly process.

We apologize and recognize that many are patiently waiting .......
Thank you for the update.

We are North America's largest distributor of Fortec Star receivers, so we would not even attempt to introduce new receivers that would be anything less than the Mercury II in quality and features. We will continue to offer the Mercury II receivers for hobbyists and resellers.

The GEOSATpro DVR1100c is an advanced satellite receiver that features all of the desired features sought after by hobbyists including power scan and DVR ready capacity up to 500GB. The DSR100c has all the features without the DVR function.

These units add exclusive features that will appeal to Glorystar customers: Automatic updating for new channels, Automated firmware upgrades with customer consent, customer information and programming announcement channels, integrated EPG for the Glorystar channels, Christian Karaoke, interactive installation menu and a card reader to allow access to subscription based programming.

While we have developed the receivers to be primarily used with the Glorystar Christian Satellite System in North America, we also wanted to have a strong, quality receiver that would allow our customers and hobbyists alike to enjoy satellite programming from other FTA and subscription services.

Will there be any subscription based programming available with the new Glorystar equipment?
(Specifically, anything that is not already available with other equipment today.)
(Alternatively, will the new G* equipment allow customers to also subscribe to anything else currently uplinked? It might be a nice idea if it could be Globecast compatible.)

The new Glorystar receivers are subscription compatible. Stay tuned for additional channels that will be offered as an option for Glorystar customers. Dialog is in progress, but contracts are not yet signed.

Due to the extreme manufacturing and licensing costs, Nagra subscription support is not planned at this time.

That's encouraging to hear!

(Also, I hadn't realized that Globecast used Nagra. I wasn't sure what they used, actually.)

It's amazing how the technology has progressed I can remember when a UHF LNA cost about the same as the DVR 1100C.
