DVR510 Remote Problem

I just replaced my dead DVR510 receiver with another DVR510. The remote that came with the newer one is pretty worn and some pads don't work. Why doesn't my old remote work with the newer receiver? It worked perfectly with the old receiver before it died. I thought they were all the same and ready to go. Is there something I need to do?

It sounds like the new 510 and its remote are on a different channel than the old one. Look in your 510 manual and set the old remote and new 510 to the same remote channel.

Thank you, thank you. This was driving me nuts. I set the old remote to the same remote address as what was on the system info page. Works fine now. Duh.
