Echoes of Carmageddon? Xbox Live Arcade gets Novadrome

Oh man, I can't wait to get home and play this..... Same guys who made the original Carmageddon (I still haven't found a game that has the gameplay the first one did.... the second game was OK, but the missions were a nuisance.... just let us race or hunt each other down)

I loved Carmageddon. I couldn't believe it never got banned. My brother and I played it repeatedly after I bought my Voodoo 2. It was one of my favorite destruction games.

I loved the dump truck~! WEEEE!

This one snuck under my radar. Didn't even know it was coming....

All the sounds in Carmageddon were wave files, my friends and I replaced all the screaming and verbage to our own... often obscene... sounds.

But hey, thats Jr. High School dorks for you.

I remember playing a lot of Doom games that were modified that way....

Played Novadrome last night. Simple yet addictive gameplay. They made a good decision to do this as an XBox Live Arcade title as it really isn't deep enough to be $60 game, but it is well worth the $10 charge.

Same frenetic leaping over ramps, ramming other vehicles, and the pedestrian death ray is reborn as a lightning gun that zaps other players and robot mercenaries (??!!??).

Looks pretty good too....

Don't miss this one..... Great game, but not enough people available for multiplayer.... I opened up a can of whupass on one group, had something like 1,200,000 points from 40 straight kills, but it wasn't a ranked match, so it didn't save the score anywhere. Grr.
