so should we hold off on posting signal strengths until we know that everything is running at full power?

I know I'm resisting posting because testing is just a couple of days old. I got to believe they are making all kind of adjustments that can send TP signal strengths from high to zero during this phase. Maybe I'm wrong but I'll just let the dust settle. Yeah its fun to see the values especially if its from your neck of the woods but I think in the end its just enthusiasts enjoying this forum for stuff like this.

Today I helped a friend repoint a 4 foot antenna towards 61.5 and these were his readings. I was surprised to see so little difference between my 8 footer and his 4 footer. I gues we can now use a 30" inch antenna here in PR for this sat. Still missing TP 19, anybody knows if they changed this to the new Echostar 15 or if they are having problems? Also notice only we in PR are reciving signal from TP 26, What's with this?

I'm getting signal off tp 26 in TX the strength is 43 on Dish 500 w/ single centered LNB.

He is right. I am in PR too, and my signal from TP 19, with a 6 footer, got worse and now is basically lost since 8/5. You can check my previous posts for signal strength. I too am curious to know if this is still coming from the old sat, or if Dish is having trouble with this TP on E-15...

By the way, I also asked about TP 26 (even created a thread which no one answered). Then I saw digi's latest uplink report and TP 26 was being used for some locals, so I finally assumed that people in CONUS just were not reporting it...

This before and after average of the transponders was made using a VIP 211k and 1000.4 Dish 37801 on clear conditions.

Aug 2-2010 average on 15 transponders = 55
Aug 8-2010 average on 15 transponders = 63

That is an average gain of 8 points per transponder, I was expecting a little more with all the talk of the high powered E15 bird.

Still it's new and noticeably more powerful so I'm a happy camper on the eastern arc.

Since all hd programming is moving to 72.7 eventually and my locals are on the old Rainbow sat , I don't think it matters now about whether the new sat at 61.5 sat is stronger or not. They are probably going to use 61.5 for internationals and or DISH Latino channels so that they can eliminate the extra dish install .
