EchoStar adds 340 000 subscribers

Englewood-based EchoStar Communications Corp.'s stock jumped 8.4 percent today after the nation's second-biggest satellite television provider said it added 340 000 subscribers in the second quarter and received permission to repurchase up to 1 billion in stock.
