EchoStar Sellects MDA space

That is like 4 years from now. Where will he get the money for that? Will that be good enough for FCC Carr or will he just look at it like a "hail Mary pass" and still demand Charlie surrender the bandwidth?

Exactly, it's never happening. I might as well roll out plans for dishdude satellite internet services LLC

I just have one question:
How can they afford it and how did EDA agree to it without a Bond?
Well, they just said this-

In a Friday 10Q filing, EchoStar further highlighted its own peril: "We currently do not have the necessary cash on hand, projected future cash flows or committed financing to fund our obligations over the next twelve months, which raises substantial doubt about our ability to continue as a going concern," the company stated.

So I read their plans, as a last ditch effort to lure in some more investment dollars.

Man! Even when filing for bankruptcy, Dish goes about doing Soon™.

Too little, too late. SpaceX is so far ahead in this department that I seriously doubt whether Echostar can be a viable competitor.
Its very simple. You got 2 billionaires fighting it out. On one hand you got Elon Musk going to the FCC trying to take licenses for spectrum which are assigned to Dish, and now you got Charlie threatening to build a competitor to Starlink.

Only notable thing to point out is Elon has the money to do whatever he wants, Charlie doesn't

It would be nice to see some competition to Starlink, but the fact of the matter is it isn't happening anytime soon.
