EHD accidentally "unplugged" from 622, not recognized now

So I was messing with the HDMI at the back of my receiver (got an Xbox One for Christmas so having one HDMI run to that for Snap and having one cable from just receiver to TV, looking to buy a splitter soon to make it easier). Somehow the USB cable got nudged enough to "unplug" the EHD. I had a program on the EHD paused at the point this happened and now the receiver won't recognize the EHD.

Should I do a hard reset or is everything just corrupted and I lost over 60 Mythbusters episodes?

Won't hurt to power everything down and back up again.

It'll stop the recording when it happens but if lose over 60 of them I guess it's not a big hit to lose part of another episode. What frustrates me is that I didn't even touch it it was just the moving of wires.

Yeah I'll see, I just don't know why you have to reset it. Why can't you just unplug and rep lug it back in and it picks it back up?

Update: Front button reset worked perfectly! Now to find an HDMI splitter ASAP so I don't have to fiddle back there too much.

Thanks for the advice defergie as the plug is difficult to get to and pull out in my setup!

I have 2 722ks w/ehd I only plug in the USB when I use the EHD, just plug it in when needed. You need a HDMI switch , not a splitter

Well it was needed as I was watching it... Haha

And no I need the splitter, I want the Dish feed to my X1 AND TV. The switch is when you have three cables but only two slots.

I honestly never knew there was a front port until just now when I went to check. I keep the door closed and would like to keep it closed

The 622 will only recognize 1 at a time anyway (unless something's changed)the 922 will recognize and transfer at same time to both...
