I connected my Toshiba EXD (1TB Ext pwr USB 2) but get the message "unauthorized USB device connected" I have had the EXT drive authorized. Any thoughts?

Reset the receiver and try it again. If no go, call Tech Support and ask for a new "hit".

I have a similar issue. One drive out of several not recognized, it wants to reformat. The others are fine. Will a hit fix this or is it something else?

I would guess in your case that one EHD has had the Linux files corrupted so it can't talk to the reciever. A HIT won't help. No fix that I know of.

Well there's definitely a "fix" that I know of, I just got to take the time and effort to do it, involves formatting a replacement drive, mounting both of them to a linux system, and copying the files. But I was hoping for a simpler answer.

Hmmm. maybe I try FSCK on it.
