EHD Power Supply

Just wanted to pass along a problem that I had.

My 622 stopped seeing my Seagate FreeAgent Desk EHD.

After getting a replacement 622 I still had the problem.

To make a long story short the Seagate power supply was bad. First time I have ever seen that happen.

This happened to me as well with the the power supply on a separate enclosure. Power light was on but was not "talking". I felt bad they shipped me a new one (722).

I've had power supplies go bad (probably more often then hard drives). I don't consider it that unusual (especially with all the crappy Electrolytic Caps floating around).

I've had to take apart so many types of electronics because of cheap electrolytics it isn't really funny. The cheap caps are everywhere.
