ehd ?

newby here. Dish customer for decades. Hopper is H 3 2017 I believe. Long ago I bought through Dish I thought an external HD. My hopper is 80% full and my EHD is at 75% full.
Now the questions.# 1, what is the capacity in gig or T of this EHD?
# 2. Will the EHD retain what Is on it if unplugged?
# 3, I went to Dish websites trying to find another EHD to no avail. What is the best source for another EHD?

1) Who knows you purchased it, them come in all sizes.
2) Yes it will you can safely store it in a closet
3) Most any External Hard Drive will work, look for one that is powered and you should be good. You can shop Amazon, Best Buy etc.

You can usually get a clue to the size from the label/part number. For example, my 2TB WD drives have a part number where the last two digits are 20, and on my 4TB drives the last two digits are 40. They aren't labeled as EHDs. Googling the entire part number will probably get you page that tells you for sure.
