The Home Cinema 5030UBe is the newest Epson wireless projector. Just like the Epson 5030 wired version, the Epson 5030UBe has 2400 lumens of both color and white brightness and an incredible 600,000:1 contrast ratio, but it is wireless and cuts down on all those pesky cables. So what about the wireless feature and is it something that will work for you. Epson America has been working on perfecting the wireless home theater projector, and it sure looks like they have put together a great system. The 5030UBe wireless projector has 5 Full HD 1080p HDMI inputs, including one MHL (Mobile High-definition Link)-embedded HDMI port. The wireless receiver is built into the 5030UBe and the IR transmitter is compact and will transmit up to 32 feet in the same room. So forget about drilling holes and running cables, just plug in your receiver, Blu-ray player, ROKU, Apple TV or other device into the transmitter and you are good to go. The IR wireless projector transmitter is plug-and-play and does not require a WI-FI network and the fast signal transfer ensures real-time transmission of HD media. The 5030UBe wireless system also lets you split the screen and switch between up to five connected devices. The transmitter also has a pass-through mode that allows you to stream content to a second wired device like a TV, so there is no plugging and un-plugging. Also, remember that MHL-enabled input, paired with an MHL-enabled smartphones or tablets, will let you stream movies and more right from your mobile device to the 5030UBe.
