Explorer 2000 cable box is very slow.

I just got a new cable box because i cancled DVR and my explorer 8000 was slow to but this new explorer 2000 cable box is REAL SLOW.

it takes about 5 seconds to change a channel and on the tv guide it's just to slow for me.

Is this normal? or is there something wrong with the box?

Thats unfortunately normal. After the new Mystro software was uploaded to the boxes, some of the older style boxes are having a hard time running it. It's kinda like putting Windows Vista on an older XP computer system. its just too much software for the box to handle. There is an update now available, depending where you live. The few boxes I have updated seem to work much faster.

Or you could always go to a local office and exchange it for a new box...
