Maybe this site should disable the search function then as well as stop making threads "sticky". No need for FAQs then either.

As much as some of you like to post in repeat threads and complain that they are repeat threads (also helping to keep them alive instead of ignoring them), Id figure you guys would need a new hobby if newbies quit re-asking questions.
Newbies are newbies and arent going to change. Why continue to gripe in every single thread. For every newbie you covnert to using search, 10 more will ask the same question.
This has been discussed to death already, please use the search tool and complain in the appropriate threads.
I mean come on...

And you should. I am part of many forums and none of them have the "Hall room monitors" this one has. I am here to learn and help and if someone asks for help, and I know the answer, I'm going to give it. Besides, these folks seem to believe the search function of this forum is more than it really is...not good.I know, I just tend to type before my brain registers what Ive posted.![]()

Heres how I see it:
9 out of 10 newbies dont use the search function until they get used to forums.
Those 9 out of 10 are generally busted on by the old guys who have been on a forum for a long time. While I agree with the old guys and the fact newbies should read into forum rules, I am not going to begrudge a guy because he didnt use "search".
I posted a topic a few weeks ago that I had forgotten already had a thread, the first 4 or so replies busted my balls, thats not the way to go about it.
Granted the OP did get testy after his questions were answered, but thats another issue all together.
Replies 2, 3 and 6 all told you the same thing. Apparently you want information hand-delivered ?? Sorry, ain't gonna happen. People aren't big on the idea of re-answering the same questions over and over when threads, with these answers, are already out there.
That's not the point. Using your logic, NO ONE should respond in the threads such as "New 622 feature coming" and should start their own thread asking about the same thing. ..
Based on past history, Dish should discover "an issue" with this very, very soon that will delay the release date.![]()
