Fantom green drives for external hard drives???

I was considering this external hard drive to expand my DVR anyone have any luck with this brand

I tried a fantom 1tb external model once, not this particular model, and it didnt work.

I'm not a fan of fanless external esatas for dvr use. Seems to me that based on anecdotal feedback that they dont last more than 12-18 months before they start causing problems.

I had a good degree of glitches from a cavalry external which is a similar arrangement. Things improved considerably when I took the drive from the cavalry case and put it in an actively cooled mx-1.

I see that some people report getting this drive to work with their HR21's without any immediate problems, fwiw.
