I have setup a Winegard Mobile dish SK-3005 on my park model trailer. It has locked into the satelites as it's screen says *101 *110 and *119. I've checked that I have 12-18VDC at the R6g coax entering the dish port #B. I have a direct run to the receiver.
I set the receiver up as Slimline5,Multi switch and Dual tuners.
When I do a signal strength test on 101 I get zeros in 1-8 and 9-16, I get 55 in #19 and 54 in #28. On Sat 110 I get 97, 96 and 97 on the only three that don't say N/A. On Sat 119 I get 95,0,94,98,96,95,95,0,96,86 and 96 on the ones not N/A. For what it's worth Sat 99 is all zeros and Sat 103 is 0,22,0,23,0,23,0,23,0,22,0,23,0,and 22 on all the ones not N/A.
The unit is located in zip code 98591 area.
I've gone around with three different DirecTV people and they want to sent me to KVH???
What to do?

To verify correct reception tune to chs 480-483 and 490-494. My guess is that the initial setup has it pointing to the wrong satellite.

First things first, re-point at the 101 till you have solid signals on the 101 and then go from there.

edit: Never mind, after looking at the dish you have, it's suppose to find the best signals on all 5 sats automatically ... I wonder if it IS doing that, is there anyway to manually adjust the unit ?

There's no way that I'm aware of. Directions say once it locks on and peaks each one they will show on the units power screen as *101 *110 *119. That's what I have and the Winegard Tec says I'm on Sat and have signals coming in so??? Toughest part here is my computer and dish are 85 miles from each other so communicating tweeks from the board are delayed by travel!!
