This was the subject line of an email message I got this weekend.
Under the 'dealer' name is a line that says "Want Free TV-here's the solution"

Goes on to tout the latest internet-connected hacking box, I-link something or other.
From a former (non-US based) sponsor.

Some of you may have gotten it also, just thought I'd share it. I should just post the whole thing because they obviously don't worry about getting in trouble.

I think you're mistaken. From what I red they're in all kind of trouble lately all the time. Nothing bright to write home about...

we really do need to thank the eyepatch crew for making true fta widely known. i know i would not have been exposed to this hobby if i didnt first see a not so legal setup a couple years back. it brought the hardware and the idea of entertainment freedoms the europeans have enjoyed for years to north america. i do not condone eyepatching anything but i do like playing with electronics. the only sub able box i have left in my house is my dsr-920 and its becuz it is my rebellion to being forced to pay for junk. i wish all channels were made to be mandatory a la carte options. id sub to 2. treehouse for my kids and history. why should i have to pay tons for 2 channels. this is why the eyepatch crew can and will always exist. i dont agree with them but something needs to change in north america. and the consumer shouldnt end up last but rather come out ahead on the deal. vote for free tv. haha.

I got that email too. I've actually gotten a few emails lately from that former sponsor touting all sorts of garbage.

Definite spam. Oddly I've never done business with them (always thought they were shady) so it's just blind spam. My co-worker gets it too, doesn't even have satellite tv in any form.
