There's a thread over on Avsforum, and the Max has all sorts of issues that are being worked on. If you want a solid device NOW, get the regular Firestick 4K with the latest remote. There's not all that much difference anyway.

I have had my max for a few weeks now with no issues. It passes through Dolby Vision and Atmos sound without any issues at all.

And it's so fast! Especially when I compare it to other Android Devices I am testing currently.
