First they wanted to cancel AM radio. Now FM is in the crosshairs.

My take on this, is its just a way for more people to CHARGE for something we all already have.

They want to take AM and FM out and force you to pay thier ever raising fees for a Sub to whatever companies are involved .... it will also need an Internet connection, which could be yet Another Charge.

Personally, I don't think I have listened to the AM or FM on my Truck, but maybe once, just to see that it works.
I use SXM for 90% of my listening.

Declaring it doesn't make it so.

The "AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act" may stop them in their tracks if it manages to make its way through Congress (remembering that almost nothing -- and I do mean nothing -- is progressing through Congress of late).

you wanna honk your horn that will be 14.99 please you need to use your turn signals that will be another 19.99
If you're going to pick features, ensure they are optional features (like interior lighting or driving lamps), as safety features aren't optional.

It is possible to be correct and funny at the same time.

47 year ASE master tech here, and you Sir are correct. Now the whole idea of OBD2 was for us to be able to diagnose and repair cars but on quite a few manufactures we now have to pay for access to the central gateway to do this. And now they are trying to do away with the right to repair completely. Problem is dealerships have tech shortages and parts on back order. It is going to become normal to have your car sit at a dealership for months if not longer to get repaired and will more than likely not be right. Keep in mind that fancy pickup you bought was pushing $110k. I have money, but there is a reason that I have known of for years that I drive a 1998 Chevy K1500 and a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis!

Tried my ass, they are still doing it. So is Stalinist Witch is Chrysler Fiat and now Ford and GM are trying to do it. Right to repair is going away. Trump is trying to block it. You are just renting your new car. Subscriptions and has to go to the dealer for months or years to get repaired. Not doomsday but am. You will never own your car again, just a long term rental thatwill sit at a dealership for a year waiting on parts. It is real folks. Plus never forget they are tracking you 24/7. I am not a conspiracy person but trust me, your car is tracking every move you make from eye movements to restporations They will use the kill switch if they think you are impaired or have high anxiety. Welcome to the new world were all freedoms are lost.

I always keep at least one EMP proof, zombie apocalypse vehicle at my disposal in my undisclosed underground bunker in the desert. Dwell meter, timing light, spare points, condenser, distributor cap, rotor and plugs in my bug out bag ready to go. 🤣

Pull the front bumper of a 2015 Cadillac SRX for a 29 cent 194 parking light bulb, dashboard will be lit up like a christmas tree and that was 11 years ago. there are so many cameras and radars that something that simple costs hundreds of dollars.

I didn't know that was still happening on the BMW.

I hadn't heard that GM and Ford were thinking about it ... I' try to keep up on the Ford stuff, haven't heard about that yet.

As far as Tracking you, no they are not, well, not as in Lets Follow Jimbo and see where hes going ...

That said, YES, they know where the Vehicle is at all times ...
You don't hear much about Life Lock for your Vehicle any more, why is that ?
Because, the Computer on your Vehicle knows where you are ... My App, tells me exactly where my vehicle is, not sure why they try to Steal them anymore, unless they are Older and don't have such a feature.

The Car is Not tracking you .... the manufacture may know where the vehicle is, doesn't mean it knows where You are.

Do you use Waze Navigation ?
If so, every time you post on it that a crash or a cop or a slow down is happening, your Telling them where you are ...
Btw, thats Not the same as someone tracking you, your volunteering the info.
