I used to play an mmporg back in 01 - 03 going through 3 servers and 3 countries before the last english based one died out. The game is called Redmoon and was produced by joycity out of Korea wich ended up being a big reason for its demise as joycity refused to work with any of the english based hosts on tech support and patch translations not to mention that the US server in california was brought down by mismanagement and imbezeling.

The current server and game are free to play but survives on donations and a small store front, Im not sure what the player base is but from what Ive seen so far a large number of the players have already made it to max level of 1k wich when you reach that level a golden statue of your character with name is placed in town square.
If you like the more classic somewhat arcade feel then this should be the game for you, its relatively easy and before my first server went down I had reached level 650 on my main in 8 months.
