Interesting concept but it seems to me that it's going to be awfully expensive to do this and that fact alone makes me wonder how it can be offered to people free of charge? And if it is free, what kind of content will be offered, endless popup ads?



While I'm not going to hold my breath it will be interesting to see if it actually gets implemented. Kinda reminds me of that company that was going to offer free satellite tv that never got off the ground! Pun intended!

Don't have 12 billion? Facebook just spent 19. What's it going to be like for manned missions to fly through all that junk - especially after they die? (don't think they will be capable of moving to a 'disposal' orbit)
Better idea would be to 'piggyback' on the GPS satellites. Think the newer of those can be deorbited.
One day, but I'll be dust when it's implemented, IMHO.
