SEATTLE, WA.
Happy Easter to ALL of you.

But NOT for ME!!!!

I'm very frustrated for the first time in decades!!!!

I notice there's NO ABC feeds on GLaxy16 C-band, vertical
With that I only saw Tbe State Dept. channel.
This shows that I do NOThave problem withmy polarity.
What happen to ABC feeds!???? I wanted to watch
"The Ten Commandmebts" movie in the East and mountain time zones.
NOW I don't. see it. For the first time in decades.

I 'be had TESTED with 3 satellites to find ABC feeds.
Skybox, GeoSat HDVR-1200, and Coolview X3 HD.
NONE of them shows ABC feeds. Just "NO SIGNAL"
on their transponders. I've spent half hour doing it.

Where is ABC feeds??? DVBS-2????

I looked up on Lyngsat site for Galaxy 16 sat, C-band, and it does listed ABC feeds,
Vertical.

I'm frustrated..... I have to wait to watch it on the local ABC channel, pacific time.
What and how can I get ABC for next Easter???? What satellite did they moved to???

Hope you all had a nice Easter Sunday. But NOT ME.

Hope all help for help with answers.

Thanks.

There is an ABC feed at 4140 V 30000 and also at 4120 H 30000 on G16

I don't see ABC on the H on G15. Only on V on G16.
When I tune on ABC - V on G16, all it shows

Strength: 75%
Quality: 0%

The other channels on V on G16 are fine, Quality shows 50%.
Usually the problem is the elevation bolt on the big dish.
At one time I had to elevate the big dish a little higher or lower
to get all the channels quality.
The wind storm messes up the elevation to go lower or higher without notice.
It's the stupid 24 inch Superjack actuator arm that doesn't stabilize, or doesn't
stay study.

The H-180 mount with it's gear motor would help, said one sat. technician in Idaho,
back in 200's.

Thanks

This doesn't do much to help you, but for the first time in ages I am able to get ABC feeds on Galaxy 16. They never came in for me, the signal was too weak, but in the last few days I started getting them. I wonder if they made a change to the beam they are using?

My dish does need to be spot on, and I really mean spot on.

The error correction on the feed is 9/10, which I think is the most miserly of any channel I can watch. That means the entire signal is highly susceptible to even small errors. Sometimes I can have Q of 70% and I get nothing because an error crept in and the receive hasn't been able to recover.

Hi Primestar31,

Have you had a chance to find out IF you can get ABC on Galaxy 16
on your system , when you got home from work???? Let me know.

Thanks,
Eugene

Nope, I didn't know you wanted me to try that day, but I can try Thursday afternoon after I get up for the day. I'm at work again tonight. I don't normally use fta satellite just to watch the "regular" networks I can get elsewhere.

I pick up ABC shows running RIGHT NOW on:

4120/30000H, v110/a111/p110
4120/30000H, v310/a311/p310
4120/30000H, v410/a411/p410
4140/30000V, v110/a111/p110
4140/30000V, v210/a211/p210
4140/30000V, v310/a311/p310

I pick up five ABC channels there on my 9'dish on 4120/H/30000, they scan in as ABC 1, ABC-11, ABC-7, ABC-5 and Dummy-1. Three on 4140/V/30000, they scan in as ABC-2, ABC-3 and ABC-4. I think I have seen some others too that scan in as 'no name'. Like Martyn mentioned, the FEC is 9/10 on all those channels. Q is 85% on my MicroHD.

With a 9/10 FEC you gotta be 'right on' Got Q of 80+ on both TP's shown in the thread. Amiko HDSE.
4140V30000 is 3 ABC and 2 Livewell channels.
I seem to remember that with the S9, needed Q at least 65 for that FEC to come in at all and a 70 for reliability.

The feeds come on when they have scheduled programming and you need to scan satellite during that time that is how we get DWTS on monday and tuesday. The feeds I have seen are DVB and you need a FTA HD receiver to work. I use a openbox Z5. Scanning satellites will give the always active channels.
