According to the article at the link below it states the following "It easily connects to a TV for playback with full MPEG-2 resolution." Also would it not be able to playback an HD recording only an SD recording? Nice concept, not everything was thought of or they just wanted to get a new product out the door before anyone else. Sound familiar? I think a mini-laptop would make a nice portable DVR although they can be pricey but at least it would have more uses than one and it would be hard to transfer the files to that mini-laptop.
