our genie 2 is spitting up deleted shows in the recordings list. when we click on the thumbnail in the menu it goes away where the recorded content is listed or it kicks back file cannot be found... anyone else have the issue:what. i did a system restart this morning it seemed to have helped as the deleted content has not popped up since. it has also been recording canceled out shows and series. thoughts and inputs

OK so it's starting to act out again deleted shows are popping up and it's getting super slow at times. How do I use the clear my box function do you guys think it will help or should we just call and have em replace it. We have the protection plan.

To use CLEARMYBOX, just go to Smart Search (either Menu or via Dash button) and enter CLEARMYBOX either with the keypad on screen or via your remote.
There are several different variants of the command. Tom has them all laid out here so you can find the one that’s right for you: STB Technical Information

they need a feature that wipes the entire HDD and reformats the drive. but somethings def wrong if deleted shows are popping back up

Reset Everything/Everywhere I think does that function, but it also resets all the other stuff like settings and fav channels and such.
I do remember reading that you can format the drive using the Record and Down Arrow buttons on the front panel during the initial blue startup screens.

i tried the reset everywhere function and it worked for so long it still spits up deleted content and it still gets slow and laggy. so i am thinking it's a failing HDD. i just called in and told em to replace the server part and they are

Weird. Never heard of this happening.
well it turned out to be a software glitch in the server. it would up getting so bad the the channels would break up and pixelize and have audio drop outs. they did send out a tech to swap the G2 tower and it;s all good now!!!
