One would hopefully think so. Only thing ever blocking my view of G10 is a banana plant that continues to grow. Good to know, hope it launches safely.

When this satellite is in position, it will most likely spell the end of plain DVB (non-S2) programming from Equity in this orbital slot... Time to turn up the heat on Pansat to get that S2 fix for the 9200 in the works :)

why would you say that Tron?
Satellite change isn't going to make the difference. Its when Equity decides to change over :)

Just have a suspicion that they might time the changeover to occur when they will already have to be tweaking uplink operations... Hopefully, my suspicion is unfounded :)

yes they will be switching over to DVB-S2. They already have one mux on C-Band G26 as DVB-S2 and the G3 C-Band mux will be changed and then the G10 KU stuff

We dont know when but it will happen.

Hopefully, my suspicion is unfounded :)

I hope so too but when they have the strength that this new bird will provide they will be able to make the move at any time. Right now they won't. GAS said that G3 will be first then G10 so when G3 goes to S2 then I would get very concerned.
