Genie question

Does anyone know if the Genie mini client will work as a standalone HD receiver when not connected to the main Genie DVR system? We sometimes like to take TV with us to our favorite campsite and would want to take a receiver with us but if the Genie mini will not work without seeing the main Genie system then I am guessing I would need at least one normal HD receiver. Anyone know?

nope, the c31 must have a genie, it does not have a tuner of its own
you would need an h24 or h25

For now the C31 only works with the HR34. I read where they are working on mating it with other HR series dvrs.
