Giants game (8/15) on CSN Bay Area Plus:

I clicked on the Giants at Braves game today on one of the ALT channels (440 something) and the picture quality looked unusually good. It wasn't an HD ALT channel either. It didn't appear to be compressed or have the artifacts/muddiness/bluriness. Is Dish changing their compression? Did anyone else notice?

So that's where the game was. :(

I've noticed that when they show the games on the ALT channels, the picture quality looks better than channel 419. Comcast Sports Net Bay Area (419) looks like crap and it's a shame because we know it's not CSNBA, it's Dish Network.

I have seen very poor quality on the ALT channels, usually it is always poor quality. I just noticed yesterday that the pq was pretty good.

It would be convenient if DISH could permanently assign a channel number to CSNBA+ and other RSN around the country that have to use an overflow plus channel.
