Hi Guys,

Currently have a HR24 with a SWM dish...had it for yrs now. The wife wants to record 2 shows and watch another liveat the same time. I think a HR54 will do the trick. if I'm right, will the current dish work if I simply swap out the HR24 for a 54?? No desire to have the whole house dvr thing--just 1 tv here. Thoughts??

Thanks!!

You have to pay for whole home with a genie even if it's the only box you have.

O.K. well if I will be billed for it then, maybe I'll "hook" up the basement TV with it. I'm assuming the client will be wireless (??). Fairly easy to set up?? I know the installer would do it all but I'm cheap and a die hard DYI'r.

Umm I do definitely think the HR-54 is going to require a whole new LNB which is now called reverse band and there for it's going to use reverse band for the 4K stuff that directv is now using and a newer type dish that says the att logo with directv on it that is why they have to do this when the workorder does call for 4K only so just do remember that.

Where did it say that he needs 4K ?

You do NOT need to change the LNB as long as its a SWM dish already there and you don't need 4k.
Yes, it would be nice to change it out to the newer stuff, but not necessary ...

That said, you can always order the RB LNB if you decide you want it at a later time, its a quick swap if you have access to the dish.

If they are doing the job, its probably gonna be wired ...
I think they still charge $99. for the wireless version.
You may be able to bargain with them on it though.

Was just checking, Solid Signal has the C61k client, but its wired only on thier site from what I saw ...

Hey guys, does the C61k come in a wireless version ?
