Good news.

Fox Sports FL HD and Sun Sports HD will be added to their own permanant channels on Nov 3rd.

Bad news. They will be on SDV so customers without boxes can not get them..

Also the following channels will be moving to SDV so customers without boxes will lose them (IE: Cable card customers)

FIT TV, CNBC World, Bloomberg, Ovation, Current, EWTN, Centric, Jewelry TV, Disney HD, SCience HD,

Or buy a new updated tv that uses cable cards and you still dont have to use their box. Oh wait, theres a 3rd option! Go buy your own HD box and use it instead of the one BHN supplies!

There are Cable card devices being made/worked out that will work with switched digital. All part of that "cable2.0" stuff or whatever they want to call it. As of right now though I do not believe any work in our system.

So yes, if you want channels that are on SDV you need one of BHNS boxes. (They offer a 1$ box for those whos channels get taken away, does not work for HD though)

So while it may seem like the perfect ploy to get people to buy more boxes (its a nice side effect) the real reason for doing it is to add capacity.

Well they do have the SDV thingy for tivo, which windows media is going to support next week when 7 launches....so you don't *have* to use a BH box..

It looks like many channels will be removed eventually, so they are forcing us to get boxes on all our TV'S.

both channels live this morning. now, if you guys could figure out how to list actual hd programs in your guide..........................
