Anyone install it yet? I'm downloading it right now.

http://www.google.com/chrome

EDIT: Posting from it now... interesting. Give it a try!

Wow... page loads are very, very fast! I am also digging the new tab button, the blank tab shows you a visual history of sites and lets you pick one to load into the new tab.

My first check on a new browser is how well it handles the frames from OWA. It doesn't work, so I'll have to stick to MS.

Well, it is a beta :) I did use the reporting tool to notify the development team.

Our 2007 OWA works in it though not in the fancy advanced mode the Microsoft browser does, it works the same as Firefox and Safari etc...

How can you not dig a browser with a built-in "porn surfing mode" (aka incognito mode). :D

"You've gone incognito. Pages you view in this window won't appear in your browser history or search history, and they won't leave other traces, like cookies, on your computer after you close the incognito window. Any files you download or bookmarks you create will be preserved, however. "

I also like the embedded task manager that will let you kill an embedded process (like a flash-player) without even having to close the tab.

I didn't know about the incognito mode, but I just downloaded it, and it is fast, and sleek.

Since I use gmail, google docs, and google maps almost daily, this may be a replacement for firefox.... although there are a few firefox add-ons I would miss, like zotero....

Using it now. :)

The application short-cut is wicked cool.... gmail shows up as a separate window, and not just a browser page.

This might be a winner!

IE8 beta 2 has this as well. They call it inPrivate browsing.

Realized that any web site, like, say... SatelliteGuys.us, can be loaded as an application. That is very neat. Only downside is that when running as an application, toolbar features (like bookmarks for new posts) don't appear. But instead, I have a little SatGuys icon in my start menu and on the list of running programs on the bottom of the screen.

I used it and it does appear fast. However, I don't like seeing all of the ads so until there is some equivalent to adblock plus I won't be using it. Also, I couldn't find a way to customize the button and tool bars that appear on the browser.

For me the first line of my Firefox browser looks like this:

Menu option are first which are File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools and Help. Those are followed by small icons with no text which are Go Back one Page, Go Forward one page, refresh, stop, home, print, download manager (add on), download helper (add on) adblock plus (add on) and new tab. Then there is the URL box and search engine box.

All of this is on one line.

On the second line are my bookmarks.

Then the tabs are on the 3rd line.

Then I also have the status bar at the bottom which includes my local 5 day weather forecast (add on).

Bottom line for me is that FF appears much more customizable. I'm sure Chrome will become that way eventually but until it does, I'll stick with FF.

Honestly, I don't like it (yet). Just not polished enough for me, but I like the features and promise.

Noticed right away that my bank does not like the browser and of course OWA is not as nice, but I didn't expect that to look as nices as it does in IE.

I realized what is missing, and I am frankly shocked by it -- no google toolbar; i.e., all of my bookmarks are in the google toolbar, that go from machine to machine seamlessly; but nope, they are not there for chrome. Heck, its probably the most used google tool of any, and they didn't bother to incorporate it?
