I moved my dish to have clear south view, bought signal finder, found Nimiq 2 ( my closest true south sat.) only could get 45-50 quality read, scanned 22 channels, all bad or scrambled.When I rotored over to AMC 5 and Galaxy 10, I got zero quality, how do I do a Blind Scan, unable to find on my Pansat 2500A receiver? Also, using a compass, how do I convert to satellite degrees( azimuth?)I dont know this rotor?rcvr knows where to turn and find different satellites after I find true south one, will using AMC5 as my true south, throw off other satellites location using my rotor?? Blind scan on a Pansat is "smart scan". Sounds like your dish/motor assembly is not aligned properly. Use USALS to enter your latitude/longitude, setup AMC-5 to USALS, motor to it, then tweak your dish. Aim the whole motor/dish assembly south then slowly turn it east-west until you get QUALITY on an ACTIVE transponder. Then tweak the dish elevation (don't touch motor elevation) until you get max quality.
