I have one receiver on the East coast of FL and another in my condo on the West coast. They are both activated to the East Coast address and both work fine. Only problem is I have to watch the East Coast locals on the West coast but who cares.

You probably won't get Florida HD locals on the West Coast. If you don't live in the Miami market, you won't get HD locals at all.

I wonder if they'll be able to determine roughly where a vip receiver that is connected to broadband is. If a receiver is connecting via tampa.yourisp.net and your physical address is in NYC that ought to alert them to something.

They could probably pull the IP address of your receiver of your router at least.

Any site that *you* contact ("you" being your receiver and it *does* initiate outbound connections) has your IP address (or your routers).
