Hi everyone I just got a Dsr 920 off eBay I heard that you can tell the date of manufactor from the reciever S\N : 0238017183002234 is mine can some one tell me how old it is? This reciever works great and i want to keep it that way. so this will let me know if the battery is going to be a pressing issue thanks lonewolf:cool:

I beleive its the seventh digit. So yours is a 1997.

The battery I just changed was marked 04-94, figured it was from '94, was still going though.

I just junked out a 1989 Vidocipher Module that the battery still read 3.6 volt it was one of the red maxwell batterys. But I do want to get it changed out though. anyone got a link to a good battery supplier?

My Mot DSR922 came with a Sanyo Laser CR14250SE 3V 850ma lithium cell, and batteryspecialists.com had the best price with free shipping. The cell with no mount is $7.95, and the one with solder tabs is $9.95.
