I pay for Dish locals & also have the dual OTA adapter.

For some reason when watching the locals via ota/dongle, I always cut outs saying signal loss. Not sure why

We watch locals almost every night.
Locals are "included" in the packages, so we are paying for them.

Locals are a la carte with Dish, $14.99.

Kinda depends on what package you have ... if he's on a package that had them from the beginning, then yes he's paying for them.
Also, if they are Ala Carte, you Still have to pay for them if you want them.

Only if you have Flex pack, I thought. But maybe someone that still has DISH can comment on that one.

Dish locals are add ons even in the core packages. Of course if you already had them you have the opportunity to delete them if you wish.

I think DiSH would be more than happy if it never had to deal with the locals circus, and everyone could just get them offair and they wouldn't have to deal with the extorting Grays nor have to put up 100 markets on sat. They probably smile when people drop (just) their sat locals

Doesn't really matter to me, they air nothing but crap anyways. Also the CW channel, never watch it either. If they want more money they need to put something on that people want to watch besides football, golf and the other sports they air now.

Agreed. I refuse to pay for locals, if Dish bundled them I'd cancel.
