At this point if Georgia Tech loses every remaining game, and does not receive a bowl bit, the team will still have done much better than they were expected to.

If UGA wins every game, and goes to a BCS bowl, they will still have done much less than they were expected to.

Great year to be a Yellow Jacket.

Let's see if you still think that after the Dawgs beat GT again this year. Make no mistake, Chan Gailey was fired, not because he didn't field competitive teams, they were in the ACC CG in 2006, but because he couldn't beat Georgia if his life depended on it. Paul Johnson's done a nice job so far this year, but he's yet to face the wrath of Tech fans after they lose to Georgia.

I'm not saying that people won't be upset if we lose to UGA. However if we look at where we started this year, we were picked to be 5th in the Coastal Division. We could still end up being 5th, but at 4-4 instead of 2-6. Expectations have gone up; people are talking about winning out, winning the Championship game, and going to the Orange Bowl. Johnson's success has created extra high expectations now.

BTW good luck Saturday, I just hope that we come out on the top.

Edit: Gailey was though of as being soft. The first thing that Johnson said at his first press conference as the coach of GT was "To Hell with Georgia". He is not soft.

And a great year to be in the ACC instead of the SEC. Actually, every year is a great year to be in the ACC instead of the SEC.

For the opportunity to do 'much better than you were expected to do'.

Not so easy in the SEC. Let Tech play Georgia's schedule and see what happens.

Well I don't believe that Georgia Tech would do very well with UGA's schedule. However, you have to listen to the rabid UGA fans down here. There was a post on the Atlanta paper that UGA's offense and defense played well in the Florida game. The poster stated that a bad pass interference call and a bad pass interference no call are what cost UGA the game.
