What do you guys consider the best performance in an entire season on your favorite team, regardless of sport?

I'll give you mine:

1992-93- Pat LaFontaine's 53 goals, 95 assists, and 148 points- the latter two ranked second in the NHL

Also in 1992-93, Alexander Mogilny's 76 goal season

1997-98- Hasek's 13 shutouts, 2.09 GAA, .932 save percentage and 33 wins.

1967 Carl Yastrzemski wins the Triple Crown, the Golden Glove and MVP.

Yaz is now a roving instructor for the World Champion Boston Red Sox.

An old, raggety, no-arm havin' Fighting Blue Hen from the University of Delware named Rich Gannon had a stetch run that VERY FEW QBs in NFL history can match. Won 2 CONSECUTIVE Pro Bowl MVPs, 2001-2002(NEVER.....EVER done by any player in NFL history) and finished that historic season by winning the league MVP......as a Oakland Raider.

Considering that he was supposed to be washed up.....no too shabby Mr. Gannon....not too shabby at all!;)

This past year Andre Woodson set the NCAA record for most consecutive passes without throwing an INT.

Albert Belle 1995

317 BA, 50 HR, 126 RBI, 52 2Bs, .690 SLG in 143 games

...didn't win the MVP because he's a raging a-hole.

I consider Manny's 1999 season better since he set the franchise record for RBI's.....

.333 BA, 44 HR, 165 RBI, 174 H, 131 R, 1.105 OPS in 147 Games. (Manny was not chosen as the AL MVP that year either. As a matter of fact, the last Indian to earn MVP was in 1953 by Al Rosen)

Of course, the best season for a pitcher would have to go to Bob Feller in 1946....

48 Games, 371 IP, 26 Wins, 15 losses, 348 Strike-Outs (Franchise Record) and a season ERA of 2.18! He also pitched his second no-hitter against the New York Yankees on April 30, 1946. (Feller had 3 no-hitters in his career).
