Guide incorrect for NBC Nightly News with Tom Llamas

Failed to record NBC Nightly News tonight. The recording was skipped since it has the date 6/2/25 and of course thinks it is not a new episode. Furthermore Wed, Thurs, and Friday will all be skipped since they all show the date as 6/2/25. I called Dish technical support so that they could escalate the issue so that the guide gets fixed.

this has been a common issue for years with the listings being incorrect, not just to this show but other shows on other channels as well.

Why not just set it to record all of the episodes?? It's only shown once a day so it's not like you'd record 8 episodes a day

Excellent suggestion. I changed the timer to do New and Reruns which fixed the problem. Thanks for the suggestion.

No problem. On my TiVo I see things like that on news programs so I have my series recordings needing to be new and reruns. Good example is the local early newscast. TiVo has it from 6-6:30 and 6:30-7 am. For some reason some days the 6:30-7 news doesn't say new events though it is so the series timer is 'new and reruns'

You can also use daily Mon thru Friday. I do miss Lester Holt.

I escalated this to the team who works with our Guide provider

Update: This has now been resolved. It should reflect correctly on your receiver after 4PM MT.
