Guide problems...

reset fixed the guide but its running very sluggish...and the to do list is missing like everyone else....hope they fix this soon cause its pretty annoying

Did it again... but prioritizer is still set up this time. Will suffer through it, and see what happens.

Same thing here in Phoenix.
I've done two red button resets, guide comes back but then disappears again.
Hopefulli it's sorted out soon.

Reset my receivers and my HR21 came back and seemed OK but my H21 the guide came back on but only lasted about 3 min. then to be announced again. Talked to CSR and he had me do a hard reset, unplug power and sat. in line. Guide came back and lasted only 3 min again. CSR said it would rebuild itself over the next couple of hours. He said some people reset and are OK and other get part of a guide while others loose it again. Problem is being worked on and should resolve itself over the next couple of hours. We will see. At any rate I'm tired of reseting my receivers. Hopefully they will get it fixed overnight. I feel for those who had shows set to record tonight.

Mine just did this, the screen just froze. All my guide went to To Be Announced.

I then realized that my DVR has missed calling for like 175 days, and I thought that might be the problem.

I had to change call in numbers, and my unit has been Downloading.... for like 20 minutes now. I'm fixing to get hit with several PPV's!!!

Cool, just finished downloading as I am typing this and is now Loading info.....

It's strange that the first post on this was at 8:36 and this problem just started for me at 10:15 CDT.

Mine went all black and would show guide data, allthough the guide was still readable. I just chalked it up to CE software and was going to report it tonight. Now that I have d/l the new firmware all seems to be back to normal. Im assuming that this is not a CE issue.

My hddvr still has guide problems. My hd receiver is fine has all the guide info
all 3 of my standard receivers are fine guides working perfect. Looks like it is mostly the hd dvr receivers having the prob.

I went back to the national release a few days ago, and hadn't downloaded this weeks yet, and it affected me.

my dvr is now a time machine....I wish it was really 7/14...gonna try to do a reset...

There must be something significant about that date. My DVR screen said that the last time it was able to connect to the DVR service was 7/14.........

This makes me wonder just what is going on with this LONG download and LOADING operation that is going on right now since I forced a call.

It's happening to most DVRs and the date 7/14 is probably what is causing it - and every hour the DVRs will update to the date that D* is sending down via sat - 7/14 so it will continue to crash until D* fixes it.

I just decided to go in and Keep Until I Delete to all my recordings because, since it's 7/14/2009, ALL of my recording were marked to be deleted, so I wanted to be safe!

Ditto. Guide was slow to respond at first but seems fine now.

My To Do List is back with all of my future recordings showing.

I was on the phone with D around midnight about a phone line problem and they said they couldn't check my problem because they were reloading their computers and it would take an hour or two.Would this guide problem make my phone line fail the setup test ?
I did a reboot and got my guide and correct time back for now.

It's funny. I just got a message flash on my screen saying;
"Your guide has not updated in the last hour, please call Directv"

It just happened to me about 5 minutes ago, and only on my HR21 and not the three R15's. I got a 920 error message with it saying it hadn't received the guide data in over an hour. Running national release, no phone, but networked.

Same thing happend tonite (SatUrday 3/21/09) I unplugged my HR-21 700 and esata drive and waited 1 minute and plugged back in. Guide came back normal, but my to do list was wiped clean off. though my priority programs (series) was still there. Also my guide is working normally, no sluggishness.

Anyone else having problems tonight?

We just had our screen go blank for about a second while watching HGTVHD, then the channel name, logo, and channel number came up, showing "to be announced", and we lost all guide data, and the receiver became VERY VERY sluggish.

I'm in the middle of an RBR right now, but wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing the same thing.

I reset my receiver and the guide came back but still no to do list then I played with the prioritizer then finally all is well. I was sweating buckshots after finding the problem when I got off from work.
