Guide Problems

When ever i use the mini guide or fullscreen guide I encounter a problem. If i try to scroll up or down the screen freezes for about thirty seconds and then it will scroll. However, it will only show the program that is highlighted. This repeats every time i scroll.

Any ideas or fixes?
