H20 Will Not Come On

When I try to turn on mu H20 it cycles through the mode lights but nothing shows on the screen and the power light remains red in color. I have tried unplugging the power cord and resetting it with the button.

Have you reseated the video connection to the TV?

If it's a H20-600 many of them were/are subject to a recall. If yours is one of them, they will replace for free.

That happened to mine a while ago. If I remember right, there is a problem with the power cord or power circuitry. I called D* and they shipped me a new one no problem. No fuss if you have the protection plan.

I kept plugging and unplugging the puppy (my standard fix for everything) and pushing the on button and it started working again.

You may still want to make sure it is not one of the recalled models. If it is, they will replace it for free (without the protection plan) since this is a recall issue.

Is your H20 a -100 or -600 ?
The -600's are being recalled, the -100's are fine.
If it's a -600 make sure to call D* to get a new one sent out to you.

Only problem is, the recall program appears to be over and the defects are being handled on a case-by-case basis. The toll-free recall number is no longer working and regular CSRs don't generally know anything about the recall.
