Hacker testifies News Corp unit hired him

Wonder if this guy claimed that income on his tax returns? (obviously not) He may have really just screwed himself into a bunch of tax payments and penalties...

Christopher Tarnovsky -- who said his first payment was $20,000 in cash hidden in electronic devices mailed from Canada -- testified in a corporate-spying lawsuit

Was this the VCR stuffed with cash?

DTV with new D10 and coming D11 will have enough bandwidth to give up 110W and 119W.

No way they will do anything that could help a competitor.

Unless the court orders it (which is obviously highly unlikely).
The Judge in this case highly recommended settlement talks. http://www.satelliteguys.us/dish-ne...etwork-tells-court-news-corp-unit-hacked.html

Judge Urges Settlement In Dish Network Dispute With News Corp. Unit - 4/10/2008 5:04:00 PM - Multichannel News
Out of the presence of the jury, Judge Carter stated he is “troubled” about the evidence that will be presented in the case, since much of it relies on known pirates, many of whom have links to one side of the case or another.
Carter said the $100 million “is not chump change” but suggested that Ergen, Nagravision CEO Pascal Lenoir and NDS CEO Abe Peled, who was not in court, consider meeting in private to avoid continuing a trial that will have “a devastating reputational effect.”

maybe giving up 110 & 119 is why directv purchased that company to do installs for them.. cause they know whats coming.. :)

Directv is only peripherally involved in the suit. I do not think it is a defendant. Dish is tangling with a division of News Corp, which divested it's stake in D*.

This is about money and machismo. Pure and simple.

Read more below but sounds like the competition likes to cheat and I hope Dish makes them pay!

Not suprising. Saw a special on Las Vegas casino cheaters. One in particular demonstrated all kids of cheating methods on card games, dice games and slot machines. He was banned from every casino in the US and Europe. He served time.
The man is now a security consultant to several major casinos in Nevada and makes a very good living.
What do they, say ex criminals make the best cops?

No way they will do anything that could help a competitor.
There is exactly a way to !
If you missed - at dbstalk Earl posted the info at end of March :
"Anyway.... The SlimLine 3

It is one of the next dishes from DirecTV...

It is similar to it's siblings, the Slimline and the SWMLine (my name for it)... but, it is smaller and will only see three SAT orbits...

99, 101, 103
It wil NOT see the 110 and 119."

So, do you feel it now ?!
