Hard drive size on replacement 922

I just got a replacement 922 receiver. On the system info screen it shows it having a 500 GB hard drive. I was most certain the 922 models had a 1 TB drive in them. That is what the dish website states.

Do they put different hard drives in refurbished models?

I did a chat with customer service and they told me all models of the 922 have the same size drive.

I am an somewhat new to Dish and I have no clue who is right here.

I just want to make sure my replacement receiver is similar specs to what I am going to return back to them.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I don't have the 922, but if memory serves me correctly, I remember reading here that the other 500gb is for on demand content

I would say something is wrong because my 922 has a 1TB drive. I didn't know they shipped with a 500 GB drive and my is a refurbish 922.

Nope. You have the only 922 there is. There IS a 1TB drive in it but only 500GB is usable for the DVR. The other half is for on demand stuff.

So has Dish changed their policy and is now encouraging CSR's, etc. to interact with subs on internet forums?

I've seen at least 5 or 6 different Dish employees on varoius forums lthe last week.

I find this apositive development, we BOTH may learn something.
