New to this forum. Need some help.

Recently bought an HD Plasma TV (Panasonic TX42PX60U to be exact).

Went and switched my digital cable box for a HD IO box. Connected all the cables as instructed from Cablevision box to Plasma. Switched to HD channels (700+) and picture is still standard resolution (Panasonic has a 'Recall' feature on their remotes that tells you the signal strength, for all the HD channels it's 480i...not that I needed it since the picture quality was awful).

Any advice on what might be wrong here?

You need to run the setup wizard and select the resolutions that your TV is capable of showing.

Turn off the cable box and leave the TV on. Then press GUIDE and INFO at the same time the setup wizard will appear on your TV.
