Now that Netflix has added streaming, I have dropped all premiums except Max (looks like it will be added to the no scribe list soon.) I can wait a few months to watch Dexter and the pq of blu ray it will be more enjoyable to watch.

You can't depend on getting the series in BluRay. Deadwood isn't offered that way even though it was in HD on HBO.

For original series, HBO and Showtime (and maybe Starz?) are the way to go.

For movies and softcore stuff, the Cinemax $0.01/year trumped even Redbox.

Netflix and Blockbuster Online are horrible for new release Blu-Ray movies. However, they still ship their movies before most releases appear on HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, TMC, EPIX and Starz.

I have been auditing my TV viewing lately and I find I watch HBO more than just about any other cable channel, mostly for original, topical programming. Bill Maher, and Sports programs on HBO are a regular item for me. If I were to drop from the "everything"+HD pack, I would go to Gold+HD & HBO!
